I Sat . . .

Willoughvale Inn, Lake Willoughby, VT

I sat in Robert Frost’s chair
And what did I see there:

a frozen lake,

a snow topped hill,

a desk,

a window,

a lover asleep in the morning light.

I sat in Robert Frost’s chair
And what did I see there:

an idea
developing / growing,

a pen
waiting to be picked up,

a future.

I saw these things as I sat in Robert Frost’s chair.

Dawn--I am on your bloglist--have you ever commented at my site? I don't think I've been here before, and thoroughly enjoyed your posts! Did you really sit in Frost's chair? And even though I call my husband Jorge on my blog, his name is George. I'm glad to have found you!

I have commented to 2nd cup of coffee directly, but here is a bit of my reply:

Yes, I made a comment about Burger King and your wallpaper. I'm not sure how I came across yours, but you have a great blend of personality and commonality to make it interesting to read. Plus, I'm a coffee drinker so I loved your title : )

Yes and no, when my husband and I and friends of ours went to the Willoughvale Inn the innkeeper said that Robert Frost did stay and write in the room we were in whether the chair was the same, I'm not sure. But waking at the crack of dawn (very uncharacteristic for me - despite my name morning is not my favorite time), watching the ice fishermen out on the lake, and sitting at that desk was quite inspiring.
